The Papal Swiss Guard in the Vatican was founded in 1506 and is the only Swiss Guard that still exists. Changing of the guard at The Basilica of Saint Peter (Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri), officially known in Italian as the Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano and commonly called Saint Peter's Basilica, is one of four major basilicas of Rome.
